Edit My Images
Yes
Hi,
I have just bought my first 'proper' camera (Canon EOS 500D). I have been using it recently to take photos of bits that i want to put on Ebay. Unfortunately most of the pictures wont upload to ebay and the site tells me that the images are too big and they need to be under 7MB to upload properly. If i am honest, i dont know any of the technical terms for things yet so i dont know how to make the images smaller.
Please help.
Thank you.

What software have you got for editing?

Just what it came with - Digital Photo Professional & Picture Style Editor.

Or download the free Eazy thumbnails, quick easy and does what it says on the tin.

Thanks for all the advice. Photobucket works! Whoppeeee.

Another option just set small jpeg on your camera in the quality menu to start with, might save you faffing around afterwards for those sort of shots.

Yo could also use Flickr.. Just an idea.

I usually make a new folder, copy the photos to it, then use a bulk photo resizer (fotosizer etc..) a fair bit quicker to upload them that way too :) Plus you don't end up with a load of ebay pics clogging your photobucket/flickr account. Cheers. Paul

if you use Microsoft Office, Picture manager does a very easy resize, by clicking on 'Edit' in top menu icons and picking 'resize' from the right hand column. Yes its the simplest of editing options available, but one many people already have installed on their machines and never realise it and is fine for ebay and such stuff. ;)
