hmmm, sorry I don't know much about Studio stuff so not really in too much of a position to comment on whether it will do what you want or not, and you also havent mentioned what you want to do...... though you may wish to consider the implications of importing to the UK from HK or anywhere else. I have done it in the past with smaller stuff, such as a hotshoe level, etc, though a larger box may attract the interests of HMRC more and therefore VAT and Duty. Just a thought.

In which case the bargain may not be so much of a bargain.

However, the guys feedback is pretty good and a lot of happy UK customers. So.... caveat emptor?
 
Agreed about the risk for duty/vat, but also at the bottom of the ebay description it has a carriage charge of £34... in the header it says it's free carriage :thinking:

EDIT: Just found some neg feedback about post-sale carriage charges

Excessive post sale transit charges; seller took no accountability when informed

Short answer-Yes,it will.
How well it will perform is another matter,and one which only those who have used said item can comment on..
(If your camera doesnt have a pc sync socket,then you will need a hotshoe adapter,or radio trigger... Or you could of course use another flash to trigger it)

Also be aware that you will have to pay import duty/VAT on the combined cost of the item and the delivery charge and then be subject to a clearance fee charged by the carrier - as a rule of thumb I allow an extra 23% to cover all the above.

How about getting it from a UK seller? As listed here no idea of it's quality but as always, you do tend to get what you pay for!

thanks for all your suggestions, im hoping that they dont whack duty and tax on it seeing as i dont earn money from my photography its just a hobby.
i may well go for the uk one that is a good idea, get a cheap softbox and stick this light in it.
