I have foolishly designed my new website to fit firefox, but i am under the impression that some browsers do silly things to it!
Please tell me what you think of content and the slideshow method of showing my photography :

Many thanks!

If I am honest, the green burns my eyes....and the slideshows are really small. They should make up the biggest part of the screen, as it is those that are selling your talent!

Otherwise...looks alreet! :)

To be totaly honest, it is too green and bright to view for more than a few seconds. Sorry.

Gah!!!! Closed the second I opened it, cant get past that green, sorry :(

In answer to your question, yes, it displays correctly. I fully agree with the comments above though. Lose the green and increase the size of your slide shows to show off your work a bit better. Also, I only watched the first 30 seconds of your video but it wouldn't inspire me to hire you to do some filming. It just seems like the kind of filming anyone could do with a camcorder. You may want to consider putting up a shorter clip that doesn't need to be speeded up.

I have to agree. PLEASE lose the bright green background, and I'd think twice about the white text too. And make the slideshows much larger on screen. But other than that it seems fine.

Ok guys, point taken :]
If I have a quick layout redesign and upload jpegs, can you help me out?
Cheers!
Jamie

as long as the green is gone, i had to close straight away it was so bright never got to look at the site :)

Agreed that green is horrible.
Sites like that I just dont bother with, no matter how interesting the subject

For a first try it's a good effort.

An attempt at redesign...only the one page... this will be my intro page...any comments?

Im sticking to simplicity - 3 colours Black, White and Green (In that order of useage)

I do agree, the green is hideous!

Argh my eyes, even 30 seconds after closing it I'm still seeing green.

Seems to display OK in IE.

Personally the green doesn't bother me.

However I agree with the slideshows.

Redesign sample! What'cha think? I'm in agreement now about the green...

it's just a splash screen, clicking enter takes me to the hosts home page

Guys, i only just redesigned now! Its only the INTRODUCTION PAGE that is up, to give a taster of a redesign :)

It is a far better design. You still need to pay attention to the size of your fonts .

Much kinder on the eyes, looks better, maybe a sample image on that page on a rotator so its different each time.

That's much better.
But as said above the default font size is too small, not too much of a problem I just ctrl + it

You should also use the "_blank" tag on your links to make them open in a new window - otherwise you could lose viewers everytime they click an external link!

the size of the body font you are using is too small, should be + 2 or 3 sizes bigger for legible reading

Schoolboy error, My browser was zoomed in :S

It all makes sense now!

Point taken, will edit it tomorrow, just redesigned the site :)

Redesigned now! What think?
Slideshows will be done tomorrow!
Thankyou all, much appreciated!

I'd really lose the intro page;

The Camera Never Lies is a small business venture by me to raise funds as i have no time for a regular job, as I am in full-time education. I aim to give as professional service as possible, but would like to stress that I am not a professional. I am just good at what I do. Show Photography really is what i started out doing. The first time I took Production Photography was for shows I also played in which was a pretty hectic thing to do! Taking photographs while leaving just enough time to get into the wings and ready for your scenes in a dress rehearsal is fairly tricky and not to mention not very sensible at all!

Based on what you have said there I wouldn't get you to do a job. It's lacking in confidence, and if your not confident, you can't expect the client to be confident that you can do the job.

Edit; Personally I would also use type for the links, not images.

it's better than the green, but i'm not getting anything to work - can't look at your photos and i agree that you should use text for links not images. secondly you still haven't upped the size of the text on your splash screen.

Ok, i appreciate the honesty, I haven't dealt with clients I don't know yet, most of my work has been from networking and working with different people and meeting others.
How can i reword it so it sounds confident but no arrogant? i think its a pretty fine line :)
I just thought the intro page sets out who i am, and i quite liked the idea of letting people know what i am about immediately.
Any ideas?
