I have my new website but a fair few people have commented that it's slow to load due to the amount on images on there.

The web developers have used a content delivery system to try and speed things up but I need people to test it and see if they have any issues with things loading.

If you could spare just a minute or so to test it for me I'd be very grateful:

The next link you'll need to scroll down and see if all the images have loaded, or if any have a buffering kind of icon.

If you could let me know how it's performing I'd be one happy poster

Just over a minute for the first link to open fully...

And over 20s before the first picture appeared on the 2nd link so couldn't be bothered to wait for the rest.

That's why I gave up! I've got a resonably quick BB connection and a fast router - not the fastest but about average speed, I guess. People might wait for their own wedding/portrait session pics but probably not hang about if they're looking for a photographer.

Straight into both links for me with no problems I can see. Scrolled down all pictures present and correct!

Will not load at all on phone or tablet, just get 'page not available'

Yeah I totally agree... I've e-mailed the web developers.

Can you do me a favour and try the wedding again? If it's not loading refresh the page (press F5) and see if they all appear then?

Almost instantaneous here, less than 5s. No problems, perfectly acceptable. I'm on 10MB.

Straight in, no delay... seemed instantaneous to me. On a 16Mb connection.

These slow times you've had are probably people using wifi devices that are crap, or have lo signal... or crappy g or even b class devices etc.

All hard wired here.

Straight in to both this time - Win7 and IE here.

same here on my laptop & iPhone- no waiting what so ever, loads like any other site for me

Les :D

Almost instant here for both links, albeit on a fibre optic mega quick broadband connection, but Chrome on a Mac if that helps narrow down the issue.

Tbh not really I'm super confused as about 70% have NO problems and 30% SERIOUS problems.

Doesn't seem to make much sense?

I could understand some sort of middle ground but it seems it's either one end of the scale or the other

Also clicked on the Bike link. The phrase "shooting bikers" brought to mind the climax of Easy Rider! Page and photos loaded fast.

Are the 30% on a wifi device? Some people's wifi speeds leave a lot to be desired.. not just outright speed either... ping times can be awful, or just in a signal blackspot in their homes etc.

I've tested it in an old version of firefox and had a few issues with load times, but just tested it again after clearing the cache and no issues what so ever.

Would you mind closing the site, going to 'tools', 'internet options' and then there should be an option to clear cache somewhere... then try the links in my opening post again?

I'm wondering if they web guys have fixed it as like I said it seems to have worked for me a lot better in the last few mins than before :)

Not sure but tbh I need to it to work for everyone as even 30% not being able to access it could be 30% less bookings which isn't good

1st link....around 3 seconds to load......2nd link all loaded in around 20 secs.
JohnyT

Thanks... 20 seconds is a little too long for my liking. I'm going to get the developers to upgrade the CDN account and maybe reduce the amount of images per wedding slightly to see if that helps.

Thanks for the feedback :)

Haha no problem... just with you saying you were in the sticks I was wondering if you had something like Virgin, or a hanster running around a wheel attached to a phone line

So yeah that helps a little :)

Given that it's dropped out altogether a few times over the last week I think it might be a hamster!:D

Less than 10 seconds to fully load each link. All images present on the second page.

Win 7 and some ancient version of IE on a woeful connection on an oil platform in the North Sea.

Mac OS X 10.7.5, checked on Safari, Chrome and Firefox, running the very latest bleeding edge versions of all - sub 7 secs to load.

Sky Unlimited (!) ADSL broadband (in reality = 8meg)

Ok, back home now and everythings fine. Both phone and tablet. Takes 30 secs to a minute to load on phone, but 10-15 secs on the tablet. Just tried laptop and 2 or 3 secs is average,so all fine here!

2 secs and 4 secs for me on a 20meg connection running Win 7 and Firefox.
Similar on the iphone.
Oddly 4 secs and 2 secs on Chrome (all other things equal).
I'd also like to say how good it's looking Andy.

And all the traffic will help your rankings too:thumbs:

Prob about 4 seconds for first page to fully load and on second page it took around 3 seconds for initial page load with a further 1 minute for all images to load up.

That's Iphone 5 on Sky broadband (usually get about a 1.2 mb connection).
