Hi,
Bit weird i know but with it been the new year im in a sorta tidy and organised mind set. And am looking for some plants... not that dificult i hear you say but i have a bad track record with them, i love bonsai trees, but have little sucsess at keeping them alive. looking for some that i can have at home in the computer room where theres little sunlight but the house lights are on its quite warm in there too, also maybe a plant for work as well in same conditions as well.
anything that you reccomend, that i could probably keep alive for longer than a month would be good.
Thanks

Hi, try looking into some of the plants mentioned in this thread;

Bonsai are traditionally outdoor plants, which is why you might not have had much success with them in the past. Although they are really great plants to have around they do take an awful lot of looking after, as do most orchid varities. Best of luck with your search, hope you find something suitable.

It is physically impossible to kill a Spider plant :D

I know it's not the most exotic plant but it's green and stripey and if you actually give it some care it will even flower and produce more plants :)

do ikea do plastic ones?:lol::lol:
agree spider plants are incredible. wifey left ours outside in the frost.oops. brought it in and plonked it on the office windowsill thiking it was a gonner.. its now growing happily.
cacti cope well with neglect.well, ours do.
but they ***** hurt if your careless.

don't talk to me about spider plants.... we have loads downstairs on the window ledges. the piano oh and in the bathroom.(mums plants which are a reminder of her..)
Yes cactus are good, -garden centres have a good indoor section... worth taking a look

also this time of year you can have hyacinth bulbs...
