So, what are your plans? Got your ticket for the London fireworks or Trafalgar Square? Booked your spot in the local? Going out to a party? Hosting one yourself?

Since I now fade by 8 and am usually asleep by 10, I'll be doing the same (since I have to drive tomorrow and don't want to be knackered!). Spent many years seeing the new year in, a lot of them as a doorman and plenty that I can't remember since I was drinking...

Whatever your plans, have fun (or not!) and stay safe.

Mine involve cooking dinner, washing up from that, and then either a large sloe gin, or cognac for seeing in the new year and to toast those sadly not here that I wish were...finally it will the be mask time :)

Husband on nightshift, kids (hopefully) in bed. I'm torn between movie, wine & early night or sewing machine & early night.

Rock n roll.......

Just so long as its not wine and sewing machine, that could get damn painful quickly :(

Kids are out, wife is on earlies. Contemplating going to the beach to watch (and photograph) the fireworks over the Solent, but I might just have a drink and watch a movie instead. :cautious:

Snap. Once the hangover has cleared it's always the same next year as this year so we've long since given up trying to stay awake. Wifey always wakes up at midnight when the fireworks go off, but I usually sleep right through them all.

Babysitting tonight, will try to stay up and see the new year in, but i doubt i will make it.

Happy new year to all on TP ;)

Staying in with the Wife. Baby will be in bed by about 6:30pm, then it will be a takeaway curry and a couple of little bottles of cider to see in the new year. Then bed at about 12:01am as it will be waaay past my bedtime.

Playing in a local pub. I only go out on new year's eve if I'm working. It's the only way to guarantee more than half a square foot of floor space to stand in.

Steve.

Airport run, means I don`t have to put with drunken, once a year drinkers.

I have good - and some not so good - memories of New Year in the past, but it's a long time since we did the party, drinking and January 1 hangover gig. No plans at all for tonight. We don't have television and don't go to pubs, so I'll probably be asleep well before midnight, as usual.

Daughter sent sms from Joburg. She's going to a champagne party, followed by a late braai. Now, that sounds a bit more like it...

Sweating, shivering and generally feeling very unparty-like, sadly! Dosed up on anything I can find in the drawer (within recommended limits) and now having a glass of red wine to take the edge off. Against protocol but who cares!!

Staying in with the Mrs. Gonna drink beer, eat munchies and watch a film with the Mrs, then watch new year come in watching the tele in bed so as soon as it's 12 we can get some sleep before 3 noisy children wake us up in the morning. The I expect we'll go for a nice walk tomorrow. :)

Popped down the local Tandoori earlier for my take away eaten the starter saving the main course for later gonna sink a few beers first if I make 12 will wish myself Happy New Year in the mirror and off to bed

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE

A quiet night in for me with a few DVD's. A nice bottle of red is currently sat on the side to breathe, so will be enjoying that along with a nice cheese board with Brie, Camembert, Stilton and a nice Smoked Applewood, accompanied by a bowl of mixed olives and Sundried Tomatoes, Yum, Yum.

..............

&£@& I've just realised I've become old!!! Oh well off to get my pipe and slippers now :p

Edit: Forgot to say Happy New Year to one and all, and see you Nutters in a couple of weeks :)

Well tonight I will be working. Busiest night of the year for me tonight (I'm a taxi driver by night).

well.. this was my old years night..........

Bottle of Syrah red wine - demolished... (it goes off once opened)
15 yr old malt - technically made last millennium cracked open and a good slug poured.. (tesco seriously messed up their prices on that, so rude not to take full advantage!)

Prior to that, spent 40 mins polishing my new posh Loake boots - my one and only sale purchase this year - 50%+ off! suits me.. had my eye on them for ages but could not justify the full price..... thats how we rock and roll in Norfolkshire!

As expected, I was asleep by 10! Was woken at midnight by the fireworks and cat but dropped off again good and quickly.

Taking MiL out for a picnic lunch, possibly in the car (eating) if it's raining but hopefully with a view of some sort!
Hope '15 brings all that people want it to.

We went round to my sons at 8pm, had a couple of beers then switched to alcohol free lager.
Stayed up chatting/listening to music until 2:30 then home to bed.
Taking daughter to airport shortly as she flies home to Sydney today :(:(:(
