Hi Guys,

Where are the best places to shoot in Manchester?

Any subjects really.

I have been the The Lowry a few times, and also to Pennington Flash yesterday.

I just want a few places where I can go and practice, as house hold items are becoming boring!

The Castlefield area's very good, both day and night. Canals, people, bridges, railway, bars, trams, a good place to shoot the Beetham Tower too.

Also Piccadilly and Chinatown too, wonderful colours in Chinatown!

The northen Quarter can be quite nice at times and look out for any graffiti :)

Been there a few times, often find I'm not the one doing the shooting!

Depends how far out from the city you want to go, but I found this place fascinating and superb photography wise. Lord Leverhulmes former gardens, mostly derelict now, but that, IMHO, makes it all the better for photography. Then up to Rivington Pike for some good panoramas. Both just outside Horwich.

Pennington Flash dissapoints each and every time (I live around the corner from it).

Salford Quays is THE most photographic place around Manchester.
