Places in Essex?

I all-my name is Leah and I am new to photography, starting evening college nx Wednesday with my first real camera (Nikon D3100).

I'd like to get out this weekend really and wondered id anyone had somewhere they would recommend for a great day of varied pics??

Welcome to the forums Leah, I'm not from Essex but I think there are quite a few members from that area, so they should be able to point you towards some places to shoot

Is there anything in particular you like to photograph? Maldon is nice and photogenic. Depending what you like x

Whereabouts in Essex are you and is transport a problem? - There's so many places to visit. There's Epping, Hainault, Southend, Colchester.............. the county's your oyster.

there's been a few other useful threads for Essex Locations as well in the past - Have a read through some of these

Thanks guys-travel is no problem at all, I am Chelmsford way. Someone else has said Maldon, some woods there?? Think I'll try that on Sunday, maybe tropical wings in woodham Saturday afternoon (if anyone likes butterflies look at this place, in south woodham ferrers-not just butterflied there but it's a great part of it!)

Maybe visit some National Trust or English Heritage properties and gardens/parks.
 
The Chelmer and Blackwater Canal from Chelmsford to Heybridge Basin has some nice spots along the way, particulalry at the locks.

Southend offers lots of variety...sea, buildings, boats, people, attractions etc.

Hello what sort of things do you want to photograph? Some of the others have already said some nice places.
