Place to stay in Skye

Was wondering if anybody can recommend any good places to stay on the Isle of Skye, the b+b we normally go to is getting a bit of work done on it and its taken longer than they had hoped.

I stayed there last year, after being recommended by HIMUPNORTH (Gary). Its a lovey little B&B with really nice owners.

Stayed at Flora McDonalds Cottage...google it. it's part of another place.

Very good places 3 Chimneys or Kinloch Lodge

Failing that get a tent and go wild camping - by far the best way to see Skye.

Thanks all, we have decided to head down to the lakes instead as ive tried loads of places to stay in Skye and there all fully booked. Camping is off limits just now as my wife isn't as mobile as she normally is at the moment. Thanks again

I spent many summers in Glenelg, my aunt and uncle live there. Lovely place.

Make sure you go to the Three Chimneys, never had better seafood

Talisker distillery is *hic* worth a visit too....and the Cuillins are extremely photogenic, whatever the weather.

Take raincoats, same as you would have done for for Skye

I stayed here last year and it was excellent... accommodation and staff great.
I's only just off Skye and in a stunning location just outside Balmacara.
