Yes
Anyone had experience of these flash triggers ?

Supposed E-TTL compatible with leads for (non-TTL) studio flashes ?

Apologies if this is covered on another thread, I did search...

I think that's the answer LOL

The only TTL flash triggers worth considering are the Pocket Wizards or Radio Poppers, both expensive.

For manual only, Yongnuo RF-602 is the current favourite.

I have a set, they have to date never misfired or failed.

Well built and have a solid feel to them, my STE2 was sold because it was pants compaired to these!

For the money, they really are a cracking peice of kit :)

There is NEVER only one thing worth considering. That's why God created choices.

I gave 'only' two choices. Weclome to TP :)

There's a long thread on POTN about these things which, if they were any good, would have taken over long ago. Quirky and unreliable is the best I can say about them.

Thanks for the welcome!

I've seen good and I've seen bad reviews with the Pixels. Same can be said for the PW and RP though. From what I've last been seeing though is that the Pixels are proving their value. PW are still killing 580ex flashes and RP are still cumbersome to work with. I'd give the Pixels based on the 'latest' news about them.

Well until we see some consistently good reviews of the Pixels, I'd pass for now.

The TTL Pocket Wizards have indeed had a dismal launch. Clearly this technology is not as easy as sending a simple firing signal. PW's main problem is their insistence on using their existing frequency for reasons of backwards compatability. A mistake IMHO but they seem to have mostly overcome that now one way or another, and it's not an issue with Euro-spec versions.

PWs are not killing 580EXII guns. Because PW users are taking advanatge of the excellent optimised high speed sync facility (which is not available from any other manufacturer) it has shown up a design fault with that particular gun when used heavily in HSS mode.

Yes, RPs are cumbersome, as they must be using the rather crude-but-effective piggy-back system. But they do work reliably.
