Pimped D4 for sale

I'd expect modified equipment to be worth more like 25% of original price, not 300%

If they do it will be at a substantially lower price as that just looks horrendous, I don't know what the person was aiming for with the design nor what the design is meant to be but I can't see why anyone would want such a garishly coloured D4.

The only good thing I can see about it is it would be easy to ID your kit if it got nicked!
 
For €18k I'd want them to do a slightly better job of masking stuff off. If I can see paint bleeds on awful low res eBay images I'd hate to see it all up close. The VR logo is the most obvious bleed.

edit: dear lord look at the state of the side of the switch panel on the 200mm.

What a waste of paint and decent camera equipment. If thats the best they can do, and then call it ART they ought to stick to colouring books. It looks like it's been graffitti'd on.
 
It's hard to imagine the sort of person who would buy one of these....at any price.
 
I'd quite like a 1Dx with a nice subtle pimp..
 
Not my taste, but has anyone stripped and painted a camera? I might buy an older nikon if its possible to DIY.

At least you can be sure no-one (in their right mind) is going to steal it :)
 
Not keen on the D4 conversion, but I do like the idea of the compact versions.
 
The D4 is too bright for me. Something a little less and on a 1Dx I would love.
 
Not looking at the price as I can't afford a 1Dx never mind a pimped one.

Maybe they could a special Ussain Bolt verion..
 
That's the only Nikon I'd ever buy! ;)
