This season I am using Zenfolio for my web galleries and embedding a slideshow in the club's web page. Links to the Zenfolio and there's an option to allow people to buy a print (although not expecting much on that score!!). The pics seem to be in a slideshow so downloading them from the page as with Iphoto galleries isn't an option.

Novel (at least to me) method of grabbing them - came across one of the player's wives posting a mobile phone grabbed image on facebook, noted as 'her' pictures, i.e. player tagged in 'her' image.

Would it bother you if someone did that with your pics??

see you have gone with zenfolio whats the wed address so i can have a look, it would bother me they are your pic but not sure how you would police it, [some thing on these lines happened to me where by somebody was cutting pictures out of a program and selling them at a boot sale]

sorry carol pulled my finger out and found the link. you need to get a copyright logo across the pics. the ones i have looked at dont have that. use the one that comes with zenfolio until you find one that suites you.

Yeah, I'm being lazy ... I imagined that if people 'were' to buy shots, I'd need ones without any of my watermarks on them.. perhaps Zenfolio is the way to go. I haven't got that far yet ...
Edit - now done it.

If you want people to buy prints you upload a large res file but in the gallery selections on the right pane you shoose the maximum size viewable, ie 800px wide, any watermark you create or any that Zenfolio provide are only applied onto the lower res 800 px wide photo and not the original file which will be used for printing

Thanks. I think I did that without realizing. I guess people would rather find a way to do anything other than pay, eh?
