Let me set the scene............
I was walking my pointer, shes brown, (and that does have a baring on the story)
along a path by a stream, a couple of days ago.
Coming from the opposite direction was a small group of teenagers.
Who (subconsciously) saw Luna, no more than 10 feet away,
nip down the bank to "point" a couple of ducks.
The female mallard ( also brown) didn't "hold" and went almost vertical, skimming ( yes really) their heads.
Luna had continued to walk along the bank, out of sight, to emerge directly
behind the teens, just as the Female Mallard had "put in" a little further up-stream.
The kids turned with a WTF was that? just to see Luna emerging
from the stream, up the bank.
What followed was a highly amusing exchange of words, they were totally convinced that the GSP had flown over their heads, and said,
"Cool do that again Mr".
I just explained that she only does that once a year and normally on April the
1st, its just that she is early this year, and that they will have to wait
until next year now !
(all of that is true
Had I saved the story for April 1, you may not have believed it
