Hi Guys

I am looking for some picture package printing software.

I have been using Epsons PhotoQuicker for years as it did everything I needed, trouble is I now use a CIS on my printer which needs calibrating and PhotoQuicker is not ICC aware.

So anyone know of a Picture Package software that can use ICC Profiles.

What I need to do is for example print every picture in a chosen directory and have the software print a selected number on each page. ie 4 per A4 sheet, thats 4 different ones on each sheet.

Thanks

Paul

I don't like the way it works but I'm sure the kodak software can use icc profiles and it has done well for me in the past.

Ah sorry m8 I thought it did.

Hi - I went through this loop when I got my first CIS - at the time Photoshop elements didn't support custom ICC profiles and I bit the bullet and bought the full Photoshop (you can often pick up CS3 rather than CS4 at a discounted rate) - not sure if you're approaching this as an enthusiast or as a business though. You'll need to get a custom profile made for your CIS, printer and favourite paper combination - noone ever explains how critical this is when you buy your CIS! No standard ICC profile will look quite right and they're a lot cheaper now!

I would have said Photoshop, but with the automation you're after Lightroom would probably be a better bet (and cheaper too!!!).

Does Photoshop Elements or Lightroom have the Print Package function I am after

The one built into CS3 does not do what I want, if you set it to print 9 per A4 it prints 9 of the same image not 9 different images.

I did find QImage which does do what I want but its the most awfull program to use, the user interface is rubbish which is quite a surprise given that its written by the same people that wrote Profile Prizm.

I've just checked Lightroom and it does (well I only checked with 4 images, but 9 will be the same) using the 2x2 image preset with 4 images selected has all 4 of the different images each in a different box.

Download the trial and have a play.
