how do i resize a picture to be able to upload here for others to help and direct me? i am using nikon nx2 software that came with the camera

you need to use one of the photo hosting websites, such as flickr, you will need to set up an account and then you copy and paste the bb code
 
I think theres a sticky about how to do it. I'd post a link to it, but i'm using my mobile, so its very ungainly copying links.

Why? What's wrong with uploading the pictures into your TP gallery?

I take it you're referring to View NX2 (as opposed to Capture NX2). Select the pictures you want to upload, in the FILE menu select "Convert Files". In the dialogue box choose JPG as the file format and resize the picture to have 800px width then click on "Convert". Tell the program where you want it saved and it's ready for uploading ... simples :D
