Brain is fried with this.
I am trying to create a name and picture holder template in CS5 but I keep hitting a wall when it comes to the picture.

Here is an example....

On the surface that is fine but poor Naomi is around 20 lbs heavier in that picture than she normally is.

What I am trying to achieve is a selection of frames / holders etc where I can drop the picture in and it will resize.
I am positive I did this a few years back but the info seems to have escaped.

Clipping maths are the answer....I will try and find you a video tutorial.

I know there is an auto fit feature in InDesign but that is not in use in PS itself....do you have InDesign?

Sorry I have been busy so I haven't found anything for you.

Is it a set size you always do? You could always make your own templates ready to accept the photo


You can drop a photo in but you need to press > edit >free transform and you should have toggles to resize the photo, hold down shift to keep the proportion.

If you are trying to put a resized ratio of a 5x4 into a ratio of 3x2, you will have fat distorted shots like the sample posted.
