I've been a member of TP before (on this very account infact) but I put the hobby down quite sine time ago so I now know nobody here... I might as well introduce myself again!

I'm Craig, I'm 31 years old and live in Nottinghamshire, in the UK. I shoot with a Canon EOS 50D and have an array of lenses that I'm just starting to pick up again, though I'm already suffering the curse of wanting upgrades (glass, mainly).

I love macro photography and want to increase my skill and kit in this area. I'm going to keep my 60mm f2.8 lens, sell my Sigma 105mm f2.8 lens (because I honestly think it's rubbish) and use the money to fund the Canon 100mm f2.8 and a ring flash (I hope).

I've already posted some shots since coming back, crit always welcome even if not requested. :)
 
Welcome back Craig, I love my 105mm have you got a dogey copy never heard anyone say its rubbish super sharp fab lens well mine is as is all my friends a;; these were taken with a 105

Maybe I have. A more experience friend also suggested I may need to perform a micro adjustment on it. So I will give it a go and see whether it's a keeper or not.

I like the shots you have with it, certainly proves the lens's capability.

Astro eh? That's a hobby we share (I run an astronomy forum as my other hobby)
