Got my GGS lcd screen cover today. Fits easily, can be pulled up again if you just rest it on. Looks like there is no screen cover at all. Wonderful and cheap too.![]()
Which one did you get and where did you get it from? Any chance of a picture with it on?
Thats the fella. I'll post some details on it when it arrives.
Swordjo, I assume by the filter size, you will be getting the 20mm lens with it? I would only be fitting a very good filter on that lens, why compromise what is essentially a high quality lens with a filter of unknown pedigree?
Allan
This has been discussed before, have a look at post No. 3190 (page 107) to see what mine looks like.
Was your stick on GGS screen protector from Amazon any good? It seems to work out a lot cheaper than the one on ebay, and quicker delivery?
My GF1 came today but because I have done it "arseaboutface"I have no memory card, I did go through the motions on a retailer's site yesterday entering my cc details but my order did not register according to my end so waiting for a reply confirming it did not go through. I may be a getting micro card / adaptor tonight but if that does not materialise a kind member on this thread who is a "Gadget Girl"
has sent me the loan of a card for the following week until I get sorted with a decent one.
I've got a card but no holiday. Anyone care to help out?![]()
Desperate for something to photo when I found these old tongues on a farm gate.
Hi
Yes it came within a couple of days and looks good / was easy to fit. Definately recommend it and Amazon
Allan
I posted a link to the Amazon one and it was confirmed as the one bought from there.
Couple of pages back.
Really like that! Great depth of field, sharpness and post processing!
I wonder if the wife will notice a 8mm fisheye in the kit bag:shrug:
Any ideas what the shutter on this is rated for?
cheers
sid
Not quite sure what you're asking Sid?
The questions relates to the number of shutter actuations the GF1 is rated for. Most DSLR's have a life cycle that is stated by manufacturer - for example the 7D is rated for 150,000 actuations.
Sadly I cannot find anything about the GF1 shutter.

The GF1 does not have a mechanical shutter to go wrong. However, the constant requirement to have the sensor "on" apparently makes it much more likely to suffer hot pixels or burnout over a period of time.Sadly I cannot find anything about the GF1 shutter.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought shutter life was a function of the mirror flip action. Surely the GF1 has an electonic shutter and should not have a limited shutter life as such?

I was toying with the E-P2 but it was far more expensive. The IQ from both are very similar but there were things on the GF1 that i preferred even if it is a bit of a brick!![]()
That is an absolute cracker of a shot, Dave.
I love using f1.7 on the 20mm. Im going to have an experiment with the scene mode of Peripheral Defocus! See what that looks like with various aperture values compared to good old f1.7
Never used a scene mode in my life!!But if it you haven't tried it, don't knock it!
