Suggestions please as to where to store my photos. I've used Picasa and Fatstone before but wondered if there's any others out there with reasonable edit features? ( Don't use photoshop etc)

Hi Alan,

I edit with picasa, save and then upload to photo bucket. I tried Flickr but I'm used to photo bucket and I have no patience with new things. That's why I stick to picasa, tried elements but got bored with it.

Picasa and FastStone don't store photos.What do you mean?
 
I mean to download my photos and edit. What's the difference between downloading and
storing? (thicko here)

What annoys me about photobucket is the ads!:) But yes, I've got photos on there now, but seems very slow to upload?
 
Put it that way and download/storing *can* be said to be the same thing! :D

I've ended up liking Paint.Net a lot, but only use it for final touches, like frames, text etc.
For PP I enjoy Nikon Capture NX2, but that's clearly not something for you! :lol:

Gimp seems to have a growing userbase, maybe with the Photoshop UI it could be tempting?

Can one post a photo on flickr on this site. This is where I'm struggling. I've just uploaded about 20 photos to my Flickr but can't see how to grab a link etc to put on here or any other forums.
 
I have found that Flickr will not give you the BBl code if you are using chrome - I have to switch to firefox if I want to share photo's from flickr

Are you sure? Ive just tired it and can get either HTML or BBCode from the usual place using Chrome
 
yes the share option doesn't show at all for me in Chrome but its fine in Firefox
