Not sure if this is the correct place but..
Picasa 3.9 (windows) has a problem that it is stripping data from the EXIF data file when it uploads the file to Google +/Picasa on the web.
Might not be a problem to everyone but may be if you use the date/time stamp in apps such as Social Hiking (www.shareyouradventure.com)

A work around is to downgreade to 3.8
