Edit My Images
Yes
Hi

Recently I have been out on a shoot, and when I went to edit the images I noticed there were little dark specs on 2 of the images (out of about 90) The specs were in different places on both images. at first I thought it may be the sensor that needed cleaning however I thought as it is only on 2 of the images and in different places this would not be the case. Does anyone know what this maybe?

Also how can I go about removing them on PS? I currently have PS C.S5 version, and have tried using the spot healer, but as the specs are quite close to the subjects hair it causes a lot of unwanted lines.

Any help on either query would be much appreciated

Many thanks

Hi, It's a bit difficult to try and give you advice on this as we can't see the images. If you were to post the images then I'm sure it wouldn't be too long before someone could help you.

HI
If it was two consecutive frames. It could be a spec of dust on the sensor. That migrated from one place to another. Then fell off

A fly landed on your lens perhaps?

As GK said, put up the shot, and people can advise better. May be best in Post Processing and Image Editing.

Hi

Thanks all, I have since solved the problem.

For future reference how do I go about uploading an image onto this site please?

Have a look here

If you're happy for people to have a go at editing (to remove a spot or whatever), you'll also need to tick the 'edit' box, next to your sig; that's in 'edit your details' under 'My TP'.

Hi aj. perhaps you could say what the cause was. And how you solved it. Just to add to the collective knowledge base.

a very basic tool that I used on Photo shop (patch tool) solved the problem. when using the spot healer it was creating unwanted lines so watched a tutorial on youtube which mentioned this tool (I hadn't used before) again very basic but you learn something new every day lol.

Im still unsure as to what caused the problem in the first place.

Many thanks for your messages and feedback
