Phottix Softbox Help...

Anyone know how to put a phottix softbox together?

Stupid question I know...I am sure it is very simple when you know how!

The softbox is self launching, nearly took the end of my nose off when it sprung into life...that bit is no problem. However I don't seem to understand where the silver alloy ring goes and the black bracket holding the speedlight and stand mount, they just don't fit together.

Anyone used one? have any pictures of the support arrangement?

Hope this will answer your question about the Phottix soft box!

OK the silver alloy ring is for Studio lights, the black bracket is used for holding a speed light. You don't need to connect the silver and black bracket together. Use Black for strobes, Silver for studio lights. The black bracket just sits inside the back of the soft box, the hard edges wrap around the edge of the black bracket which holds the softbox in place. If you want to use studio lights just use the silver bracket.
