Yes
I've uninstalled CS2 so that I can install CS4 trial, but when clicking the setup icon, nothing happens, at all! Any ideas?

Are you getting any messages on the screen?

Nothing at all. The cursor changes for a second, then everything goes back to normal.

Sounds exactly the same as my error, so would try the link in my post.

Just tried your link.

I'm running 32 bit Win XP, tried the step by step guide anyway and it said it failed to register the .dll anyway.

Was worth a try, sorry, sounds a simaler issue though as for me it would do nothing on clicking.

Thanks anyway. Funnily enough, I have CS2, CS3, and CS4. I never got round to installing CS3 but I'm currently installing it anyway (and it's working lol) seeing as CS4 won't work!

Think you will enjoy CS3, liked it when I tried it, trying CS4 at the moment, but not impressed so far.

Have you got any other Adobe products installed such as Adobe Suite? I had a similar problem and had to uninstall all Adobe stuff and reinstall from stratch.

I heard about that. I have Flash CS3, Dreamweaver CS3, Acrobat Pro 8, Fireworks CS3 and the Flash and Shockwave players installed.

There are no real standout improvements in CS4 apart from a few work flow things and the new flash '3D' rendering. Still, it's always nice to be up to date but CS 3 is still a very capable group of applications.

Sounds like the same problem I was having. You should be able to go into install/uninstall programs and add/remove certain elements of the Adobe suite, however, I couldn't. I tried installing from the original disc and it wouldn't work either.

The only way I managed to get it working was to uninstall the whole lot

I had similar prob, download from microsoft "windows installer cleanup utility" and remove old adobe installers - certainly worked for me - good luck.
