I'm prob in the wrong section but here goes. I have watched a tutorial and successfully made my own logo for my pictures. However the format saved as per tutorial is a transparent tiff file. I was under the impression it would need to be a png file. It's all good either way and Lightroom 4 allows the tiff to display. However just to view my white coloured tiff file it defaults to a black background which is annoying. The only way around this I have found is to export my tiff file as a jpeg having inverted the colours. All confusing and then intend up with a jpeg which I didn't want. I can't fathom why the tutorial showed me to make a tiff and not a png as I assumed a png would naturally be transparent on any background with very little loss of pixels if enlarged. I'm confusing myself now but it is 2am

I'd be using a PNG for anything like that. You only use stuff like this on screen images.. not print, so png is idea.

Sorry you lost me there. What's an action? I have rarely used photoshop until now
