Hoping someone may be able to give me a little guidance on a shot. I'm trying to find a way that i can remove/reduce the effect of the refelction in this shot. The item being reflected is essentially a white piece of framework but with the rounded canopy it's reflected a number of times.

Any tips on how this could be achieved would be gratefully received!

I would use a brush tool with the centre the same width as the strongest reflection and a bit of feathering to cover the edges where the reflection is fading out. I would up contrast and reduce exposure to drop the reflection back to match the rest of the image.

Careful use of the burn tool, selecting shadow, or mid tones appropriately, and setting a really low opacity for the brush.. around 8% in my case. Even a quick 2 minute bit of brush work made it almost perfect. Spend more time and it would be invisible.

I'd post my results, but you have edit images set to no.

Thanks for the responses. I had a quick play using the first method with a single adjustment layer changing brightness and contrast and that seemed to have good results.

I had originally played with the burn tool but found that no matter what settings i used it always seemed to 'muddy' the adjusted area. Would be interested to see your quick results, not sure where i change edit images to yes!

This was using the burn tool.. just a quick job.. around 2 minutes probably.. so missed a few spots of the ground as I was concentrating on the plane, but it's perfectly possible with the burn tool. You just have to switch from shadows to mid tones appropriately.

Many thanks for that. I shall go back and have another play with the burn tool and see what i can achieve.
