Anything like this can pretty much always be done - there is generally a direct link between quality of end result and time taken.

Here you need to use the clone tool, and maybe a heal tool if you have something similar. Either Photoshop, or if you don't have this, download GIMP.

Simply select the clone tool, zoom in if you can / need to, zoom out if you can / need to. Bigger brush / smaller brush depending on area.

Pick a similar looking area, select it, and then paint it over the bit you want to disappear.

Below, my quick effort - showing various stages. Start with the orange balls - if you can make them disappear convincingly, then save your progress and try the cables in the snow.

More time spent generally equals better result.

@Graham, Thanks for the good tips, will have a play around with those tools when I have some free time in the next few days.
