I've just calibrated my monitor and am just wondering which settings I need to change in Photoshop Elements.

Do I set edit>colour settings to 'no colour management'?

You have a choice Elements - printer or computer for colour management , confusing isn't it? then do you want to print black and white photos as well? if you want no colour management then you will have to stop your computer colour management. Here again it depends on paper type - paper make - print size.

I have Elements 11 and use Epson easy print as I have Epson printers (because I am too lazy to set anything up )

Elements gives quite a choice so it is really trial and error in colour management section. I would advise you write down each setting as you use/try them as memos

Edit>color settings> optimize for printing (uses AdobeRGB) or optimize for screen (uses sRGB).

The monitor profile is for the monitor... it is not for the software.

BTW, in PS elements you're probably best off using sRGB as there is no softproofing capability. Plus, sRGB is "safe." When you start using wide gamut spaces/devices is when color management becomes more complex and you have to be more careful.

But if you are printing on inkjets they can have a color space capability much greater than sRGB... you'll get what you are expecting/see on your screen, but it may not be the best possible.

Cheers for that.

I've reverted back to 'always optimise colours for computer screen' which was default anyway.
