Photoshop Elements 6 problem

Hi All.
I've just bought Elements 6 and I am learning to use it (slowly)
My problem is when I plug my memory stick in the usb port, the photo downloader automatically downloads all the images on the memory stick whether I want it to or not:bang::bang:. Can I stop this? and how as its driving me nuts. Also where has it put all the images? as I can't find them for love nor money. I have also looked for the Photo downloader and cannot fint it anywhere.

If it's like Elements 5 then look in the edit menu under preferences / camera or card reader.

It should then let you turn of the auto download & let you set the stuff manually

Thanks I've found it I don't suppose you'll know where all the images which auto downloaded went? I cant find them anywhwere.

if you run the downloader it gives you an option to change where they go , it should show you where they had been put


Or you could use explorer to search for .jpg or whatever the file types are

These things often default to my pictures or my documents, but not always!. Wayne
