Photoshop Element 11

What do you guys think of this software? Does it do what you want is it as good as people say.

Or should I just go for CS6 Cloud Sub for £17 per month..

I am not too sure If I need any other software it just something I keep thinking on as I use Aperture and the whole range of Nik Software most of the time it does what I want
 
Depends what you want out of PSE?
Can't see why you want to spend £17 PM (£204 for the year) when you can buy PSE and say, Lightroom 4 for that money.
I have PS CS 5 and to be honest don't use it that often as if you get it right in camera Lightroom will do the rest in 99% of cases.

That my point like I say I can do most things in aperture with no problem and the nik software collection

I agree with Russell. I have Elements 9 but I use it rarely and only if I need layers. LR4 does for me 90% of the time.
 
I have used PE versions and now have 10 as well as CS4 but since I bought LR4 a few weeks ago I am hooked on it. The only time I go back to PE is when I want to do more detailed work (selections) for which I can't find a way on LR unless I am missing a point.

So if I started over it would be PE & LR.
 
I've got an earlier version of PSE and find it does what I need, certainly worth the a small outlay. Keep an eye open on Amazon as they sometimes have it for a very good price...
 
I think for most people (including me) CS6 is overkill.

PSE11 (even earlier versions) will do most things that you need. I have LR4 and PSE10 (as well as Silver EfexPro and Photomatix) and have not found that combo wanting as yet.
 
I have been using Elements 11 for only a couple of weeks before that I used 10 for quite a while. I must say that I am impressed with the changes Adobe have made and would recommend this product to anyone...:)

I bought PE10 when it first came out & then downloaded the PE11 trial but saw little to make me think it was worth upgrading but was I too hasty & did I miss a point?

I am intrigued as to whether you think it is worth the upgrade & what extra does it offer? Maybe I need to reconsider :)
 
I have cs5 and lr4 and tbh I hardly use cs5, only when I want to put someone on a different bg or remove things using clone tools.

In my particular case yes it was well worth it because E10 did not recognise my new G5 cameras raw files, since I only shoot raw this for me is a must.
I was lucky I managed to sell E10 on Ebay for £39 and my E11 only cost £57.
There are many improvements been made by Adobe and I would recommend Elements 11 to anyone....:)

I'll start to panic if my PE10 doesn't recognise my new Nikon's RAW files :eek:

Oooops it doesn't open them in PE10 but they open in LR4 version 3 thank goodness. I'll have to see if I can download a Camera Raw update from Adobe unless they have you over a barrel & expect people to abandon their software & buy the latest version.

PS No can't download update & would need to buy PE11.
