Is anyone else had / having problems with CS5.
On startup today i don't seem to be able to open photoshop, keep getting a message ,
"This application has failed to start because MSVCP110.dII was not found, Re-installing may fix this problem."
Not sure if want to re-install untill i find out more, reading via google, there seems to be issues with CS5 although not quite the same as mine....

Is it a legit copy and do you have Nik software installed?

It's a Nik software upgrade problem, you need to re-install Nik.

Interesting you both come up with the same, I have had the legit Nik full package for some time, never been a problem ,no updates made, so not sure why it should just happen out of the blue.

It's happened to many people following a Nik auto-update :)

Thanks Gramps.
Uninstalled Nik. restarted PC. re-installed Nik.
Having the same message come up, but at least i can hit the cross and exit that box, Photoshop then opens.
At least i can open CS 5, albiet a bit of a headache.

You on PC or Mac?

Hmm  ... re-install of Nik (without restart) resolved it for me and everyone else I know of.
Did you re-install from the original download?

Yes did the re-install from the original download. Not sure what the problem was. So I decided to do a re-store on the PC, backed to the 30th Oct. Hey preto all is working.

But thanks for the input anyway Gramps. It may well come in handy again.

Unfortunately Nik updates without prior notice or option to prevent it, part of a system for updating all Google software apparently.

I made contact with Nik = ????. with this message.
Please download and install the latest Nik Collection, which I am sending in a separate email, and it will resolve the issue.
