According to a post on "The Luminous Landscape" discussion forum, CS4 is due to be released on Sept 27th.

i seriously cannot keep up with their new releases!
hehe
WOnder what new functions etc they will have?

I have only just switched from 2 to 3 ffs

Do they think i'm made of money :)

Blimey, it only feels like last week that they released CS3

im going to get cs4 ;)

I think they are working on rewriting the Mac version for CS5 using the language (can't remember the proper term) that Apple use to build applications, it will have 64 bit support then...

CS4 has GPU acceleration. Means I won't have to upgrade to a quad core as soon as I expected. :D

Especially with the new adjustments brush in LR2 the only thing I currently use PS for is adding borders to images, no way am upgrading on that basis!!

I'm still quite happy on two, so I think I'll skip upgrading till I really need to.

I'm still using the original CS. For the basics that i do, it's enough for me.

it's been floating around for a month or so now, apparently. i haven't seen it un the flesh though. i guess i'll need to upgrade my old computer now!

I'm with Ladylens on that one. I haven't got to know everything CS3 can do yet,as for L/R i bought it at the same time ( package deal ) and never use it ! Think i'll spend my money on a 400mmvr instead.

Yup that's what I read as well. Can't remember the names either, Interesting though 64 bit support is in Lightroom 2

havent got my head fully round cs3 yet  I think I shall stick ith 3 for now

Have'nt got my head around Elements 5, CS2, or CS3 yet and i reckon by the time i do CS10 will be out

I'd heard that the GPU offload functionality may not make it into Photoshop CS4. If it has then it'd be a nice upgrade; otherwise none of the new stuff looks that spectacular. Boo hiss.

I tend to agree with most of the posters here, that unless there is a major feature in CS4 I'll be staying with 3. Most of my work is done in Lighthouse, and with the advantages if LR2 I can only see me using PS for actual retouching, such as cloning items out,and the occasional complex ( well for me ) comp.
