I know it has been asked several times, I am looking at a photoshop course, preferably home learning or intensive full time (I could take week holiday from work), looking tat the glasgow area, the prices are all around £500+
I remeber someone posting recently, a manipulated image of a young girl sitting on a toadstoll with a rainbow. Within the thread, he mentioned he had just completed a CS4 course that had cost under £100.
Does this ring a bell with anyone, I cant find the thread !

Also, as an aside, while googling for my course, came across this ...

How do they get away with this ? Has the law been relaxed recently with regards counterfit goods, also had the same thing recently when buying Links of London bracelet for my partner, one website using the official logos and everything, only stated the goods were replicas in the very small print. AS these are first page goole hits, surely they are on the radar for FAST etc (assuming FAST are still around). Sorry for tangent waffle, just could not believe the brass neck of these sites.

im sure Forth Valley college are doing a photoshop course as flexible learning when you learn from home, a college through your way might do the same! Think the course was under £100 but not sure what was on the course, just remember seeing photoshop in the course booklet!

Hi another alternative is Kelby Training, pay as you go, online training.:)

Thanks for ideas guys, I will investigate ...
Was acyually looking in my cupboard last night, I have numerous books and tutorial CD's from magazines, it is time I need more than anything !
Chances of me taking a week off work to sit at home and learn photoshop without getting paintbrushes and task lists chucked at me are extremely low (unless I get a divorce first ), therefore thought a structured course might be the way to go.

Again thanks, some good iseas to be followed up ...

Chromasia is an online tutorial website. It costs £25 for the year and in my opinion is worth every penny as it's really helped me understand.

Thanks Chris, that looks ideal and I can sneakily knocka few off in the conference room at work !

There are a few retouchers that will do 1:1 teaching, although most of them are based in London.

There's this on CS3 in Glasgow as a night class, which will give you the skils for CS4, but not cover the new features.

I attend some of the Webinars run by RetouchPro, which gets full time Pro's to cover specific areas.

There's one today with Steve Caplin on the Pen Tool / Selections
