Photoshop CS3 Question / Help ?

Hi,

Just a quickie and I should know but mind has gone blank.

When using rulers / guidelines in CS3, how do I change the colours of guidelines I drag in? As Black guides on black canvas doesn't really work.

Dunno, but mine are cyan, so you can change them....
(that didnt help much did it?)

With CS open, go to th menu bar Edit>Preferences>guides,grids and slices
You can change the colour of the grid, and the dimensions. If you set it at 33 percent you will get a "rule of thirds" overlay.

Knew it was somewhere pretty obvious and should have thought there, as set up 1/3's the other week which is really useful!

Why would anyone want to use "rule of thirds"?

Just an idea. Pretty much every leading photographer over the last 60 yrs or longer has gone by it to a degree or so.

However, should you not want to, then don't? Simples!
