Morning all (Friday at last:clap:!!)

I currently have PS CS2 on my desktop. However, I am looking to invest in a laptop but I was just wondering whether there is any way of getting CS2 onto my laptop aswell. I don't the CS2 disk from which the original upload to the desktop was done. (I hope this makes sense)

Alternatively I will invest in Elements 8 for the laptop and leave CS2 on my desktop. In this instance can the two work hand in hand??

You need the original disk. You should have that anyway if it is a legal install.
 
Unfortunately it is a long story and ends up with the disc being 'mislaid' (in other words being put in the rubbish!!)

Thanks, I wasn't sure if there was a way round it.

I'll invest in Elements 8 for the laptop.
 
Of course you can. Just copy it onto a disc the import to the laptop from the disc. then you'll still have the disc. Tony
 
It's the serial key that you need, i'm sure that if you go into PS and click on one of the options in the Help menu it will display it. Then it's just a case of getting a trial version of CS2 and entering your key. I'm sure if you contact Adobe direct they will also give it to you providing you can verify who you are.
 
Unfortunately it's not as simple as just copying to disk. The installation does a lot more than just install the program. Certain components are installed on the computer and registered. Unless you know where they all are then it just won't work.

I also don't think you'll get a download of CS2 from Adobe, and anyway without the full serial number it wont work.If you can recover the serial no. I googled Download CS2 and got a hit

Best bet is to get a copy of Elements , and put the package somewhere safe
 
Cheers Chappers. I think I'll keep CS2 on my desktop as it currently is and start afresh with the laptop. Whatever software I buy will be will be kept under lock and key!!
