Cheers

What software version do you have access to?

If you have the thing you want to match as an image, you can open that in Photoshop you can use the colour picker to copy the specific colour that you want.

Try select colour range, click the eye dropper on the colour you want and ajust the slider to suit (you can add to it or subtract on the palette)

I'd first make a selection around the object you want to change. This stops you affecting the whole image not just the area you need to work on.

Next I'd go to Image/ Adjustments/ Replace color.

Now adjust the Fuzziness control so that you see in the preview area all the parts of the selection are accommodated. This helps if there is any shading or contouring.

Now move the Hue slider until you get to the colour you need . It's probable you will need to use the saturation and luminance control's as well.

Alternatively if the colours are close and it's simply a a question of intensity, you may be able to use the "Match Colors" option in the Adjustments menu.
