Can anyone recommend a good book or website with an idiots guide on how to use photoshop?

Which version of photoshop do you have ?
 
Try going on u tube and type it in

i have photshop 7 and lightroom and it helped me a lot.

CS4 is quite a program if your just getting into photoshop, however i've always found the Scott Kelby books very easy to follow, try this one HERE i believe this is one of his latest books, and i doubt if you will get it any cheaper anywhere else :thumbs:

I have the one for CS3 and i've gone from being a complete beginner in Photoshop to pretty much being able to do what i need plus understand what some more experienced users are taking about!(most of the time....)

I would say though his "humour" is very much a part of his style and tbh its pretty cheesy..... i ignore it and just read the step by step instructions!
 
The internet is full to bursting with photoshop tutorials, before spending any dosh have a poke round and see if anything fit's your requirements!
 
Scott Kelby's books are good,but personally I prefer Martin Evenings
 
Not CS4, its CS3 (knew it was CS something!) Will go check out those books.

As it.s CS3 take a look at this Scott Kelby one HERE i have this one and again it's very very easy to follow.
