Photoshop and other editing programs..

I have a few editing programs.. Paint.NET etc... i use photoshop at college, and have used free trials at home, but i dont have the money to buy REMOVED Anyone have any ideas on other programs just as good?

I think it's in breach of the rules here to even discuss ways to circumvent software licences so :nono: on that.

As for alternatives, have you looked at Elements? A cut down version of Photoshop which has everything the average photographer would need and probably a whole lot more and at a very cut down price.
 
Ah if it is a breach then ill be banned so, my mistake. Yeh ive looked at elements and i know people with that and they say its not as good, nor can do much on it.

Interesting, I have been using it for 3 years and have not wanted for anything. What is it you want to do that you can't do in full photoshop?

I've got paint on my computer now and i just feel it doesnt have the more professional touches that photoshop has... its like second rate to me and i feel my photos, when needed editing, comes out nicer and just looks better.
 
You won't go far wrong with Gimp, I used it for a wee while before I was fortunate enough to scoop a load of photo software on the cheap off one of my mates.

just download the windows installer (assuming u want the windows platform version). don't worry about the source code versions.

Did you quote the wrong post? I was talking about Elements and you have mentioned Paint. :thinking:

Oh sorry lol, im a bit scrambed atm, doing like 7 things at once. Erm i havnt tried elemnts but i know people that have it and they just said its not that good. I dunno, im just trusting friends on that point.
 
There is not a lot of difference between PSE and PS really. I am sure that PSE would do what you want, maybe a member on here might have an older version they no longer require. I gave away 3 or 4 copies a while ago when I bought my R2400 (it came with 5 copies - english, eng+french, eng+italian, eng+.....!!).
