I have created an action in Photoshop to do a few tweaks and I want it to run on a few hundred photos.

The problem I have is these are new photos and have never been edited, so when the automate batch runs it pops up with the quality setting for saving when each file is closed (this is not recorded when I do the action).

So I have to sit there and complete this on all the photos.

Does anyone know how to get round this?

Thanks

I have got a bad case of R.S.I now after pressing the enter key 450 times!!!

When you record the action you need to select 'File/save as' instead of just saving it when it comes to the end. Then stop recording.

I think

thanks will give that a try next time

I wouldn't even bother with the Save or Save As option in your Action. record the Action without the above and when doing your batch processing go to File>Scripts>Image Processor, select your folder with the images, save as JPEG (or whatever format you require) and click on the Run Action check box at the bottom, select your action and everything will be done for you.

Hope this helps.

I have tried that and it takes too long and I need an ice pack on top of the PC!

I have timed this, I use 3 actions and the method you mention is a lot slower than doing them individually!

Thanks hacker works a treat and its just as fast too.

Hmmm, must check this out. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

I have the same problem.
I want them all saved in one go instead of me having to do a save as and quality check.
I have done a save as and close in the Action but the batch wants me to redo it ... :(

Im using a Mac Photoshop CS3 extended
