what is the best program to use and why ?
i'am looking to get the best possible result for veiwing on wide screen

I use Adobe Premiere but thats not cheap, and complicated if you are not used to Non Linear Editing.

Free trial at adobe.com though for 30days

I will give nero 9 a vote.
I think I paid £60 for the downloadable version.
It really is feature packed and very simple to use.
I say that, I have been using Nero for years and years but I'm sure it is simple to pick up and play

You could try Proshow Gold from Photodex, I have used this for over 7 years, never let me down once, easy to use, you can also add music and sync it to the pictures for a slideshow.

I'm on a Mac and use Toast (PC equivalent Easy CD Creator), but on a PC I don't think you can beat Nero unless you opt for a much more expensive programme like Adobe Premium.
