Not sure if this is possible but I thought it was worth a try!!

I work fairly high up in the building, and I see some interesting things to get pics of - BUT - it would have to be through the double glazed windows that do not open for safety reasons.

Is there a way to get halfway decent pictures through the glass, as when I have tried before I always seemed to get odd pictures, like a sunset with 2 suns, and the reflection of the office lights, some of which I cannot turn off.

its not easy, but try placing the lens actually against the glass, or better still, get a rubber lens hood and place that against the lass, that will reduce those reflections, though with double glazing, they may still be a problem.

Get access to the roof or go down to ground level

Polarising filter is a good idea. The other thing is to invest in a rubber lens hood that you can press against the glass to limit reflections. I've also draped a black sheet over me and camera before to cut reflections - if you do this, make sure you wear black clothing!

Thanks all, I may try the hood against the glass and a black sheet ideas, just have to pick a night when the directors are not in so I can 'borrow' their offices!!

I cannot access the roof which is a shame as it would give even better views!

Now off to find a polarising filter!
