Powerful. Thank you for sharing.

powerful images, amazing opportunities but what a dangerous place to do it!

Suddenly puts our so called recession into perspective.

must admit that was one of my thoughts, some very powerful images

The one of the little boy witha badly burnt face is pretty bad.
they only people its affecting is the innocent citiziens.
Bad times

Would take some guts to take those shots.
Very powerful

Excellent reportage, taken on both sides..

Just read a quote from someone on that site:

For all those who think that the rockets being fired on Israel do not warrant a response such as this: Let someone start throwing 600 bricks a day at your house and see how long it takes for you to retaliate. This is not a Religious issue this is a HATE issue. Extremist Muslims hate Israel. (Notice the word Extremist) People living in Gaza stand up, only you can stop this. Rise against Hamas. They don't care about you, the proof is that the rockets are being fired from civilian populated areas. They are using your blood to get the worlds sympathy.

Wise words.
Fantasticly atmospheric and moving images.

But the underlying cause (excuse) is religion. I just hope one of their gods turns out to be the real one some day so this can stop!

Just my opinion of course.

It just makes you realise doesn't it. Puts everything into perspective.

Brilliant photo's makes every look and think just a little bit more and then complain about the credit crunch!!!

Amazing pictures of such a tragic event, thanks for sharing.

Very strong images, Our country may not be fantastic but at least we dont have to live through this sort of carnage

can we keep comments to the images and not the politics around it, thanks

Wow, the news doesn't really "tell" us how it actually looks !

Some excellent photographic coverage there - really powerful stuff!

Thankyou for posting - ive only just joined the forum but 25yrs ago I went to an exhibition in Amsterdam on 'war photography'. It made me think at the time what an amazing life (and you only get one) to lead as a photographer of war capturing such events to inform us all of ''whats going on''.
All this time later, the photo's then are the same as the photo's now.

I remember being in Egypt last January when a few security issues occured over the border - I was pretty scared. Imagine being there in the thick of it?

the one that stands out for me was the palastinian man stood pointing with the smoke in the background

Amazing photos at a terrible time for the innocent victims.

Brilliant images but my what a dangerous place to take them!
Just makes you realise there are always people worse off in the world than you no matter how bad you think things are!

I have tremendous respect for conflict photographers. Without them we'd be completely blind to what really goes on in places like this. It also raises your awareness as to what life must be like compared to what we have. It also shows just how much power that little camera in your hand has to influence people.

Not wise at all imo. Seriously misleading. If I took someones house and forced them to live in the shed, put barbed wire around it. Disconnected their electicity and water, poisoned their crops, killed them at random, etc,etc then I think they would be justified in throwing the odd brick. Would I then be justified in bombing them?

I've been in the west bank and I know gaza is a lot worse. Why do you think Israel isnt allowing the press into gaza?

Israeli policy seems geared to preent peace. They have almost total control and continually provoke the palestinians.

You really think that people are driven to fight against overwhelming odds because they hate for no reason? Why do you think Hamas was democratically elected?

Quoted for truth. But yeah, we should keep the discussion to the images to avoid this thread getting locked.

amazing pictures of a cruel world of life, well found....thanks for sharing the source...

so how the hell do you land a job to take such photos? These photographers must be on some decent money to be in the thick of it with only a camera to shoot with.

Fantastic work though. Shocking situation, ill keep the traffic jam i think, and stop moaning about roadworks!

Cheers for the link KJ

Powerful as these images are they are nothing compared to those that were on Al Jazeera this morning. Those were heartbreaking.
