Rather than take my laptop on holiday next month I am looking at cost effective backup for my Nikon D80 photos whilst away. I shoot in JPEG & Raw so only get 100 photos to a 2 gig SD card.

What are my options people other than buying more cards?

Thanks in advance

When I went out to the states I got them put on to dvd at a camera shop.

I use a Jobo Giga1 (or something like that) which has a 40gb HDD and backs up from your card with no viewer.

I also have an Epson P2000 which has a 40gb drive but only backs up from SD and CF - you can also view from RAW, jpeg and tiff - both very cost effective and totally reliable to date :)

Another thumbs up for the Epson P2000. I was surprised how well it lasted between charges and doubled up as an mp3 player/ video player for my kids on the plane.

I actually bought mine on eBay and used it on holiday, and then sold it for the same price when I returned.

How about a couple of 4GB cards, they're so cheep now that they will probably be the cheapest option? As long as you're not going for more than a week or so 10GB's will be plenty I think. When you get some lazing around time have a look at the shots taken that day and go through and delete the OOF and rubbish ones from the cards if you think you may run out of space. Not the best option but probably the cheapest. :)
