Has anyone got this yet and if so is it good? Thinking of getting this to make planning astro shots easier. £10 seems pretty expensive though.

I'd had it for a while and there is loads for the money. I just find it a little complicated.

Maybe it's just me :)

Youtube channel as well linky

Cheers.

I've got it on iOS and can't say I've used it much.

It's good for working out exposure using super stoppers and the like and for planning when and where the sunrise/sunset and milky way are going to be.

Do you have to physically be in the actual location to get the visualisation of where the milky way will be or can you do it remotely?

I had the apple version on my iPad and it was very good. When my iPad packed up i replaced it with an android device and was very disappointed to find that photopills wasn't available.

I was very pleased to see that they have now released an android version, but i wont pay to be their beta tester. I'll give it a while before i buy it for android and in the mean time use it on my iPhone.
