Yes
been messing with the free HDR trial and think id like to buy it now to avoid the watermark. one thing that im not sure about is if i download the key to turn the trial into the full version what happens in the future if i changed pc, do i have to buy it again ?

if theres any other HDR options that are cheaper or free please advise..

cheers

Keep the downloaded original program and the serial together (on disk) and simply re-install on your new pc, theres a discount code for PM on the web here (and a wealth of info)

Theres tons of different hdr programs, they vary from good to terrible, PM is about the best IMHO especially if your after the more natural look as opposed to the OMG it's hdr! look. of the others I have tried dynamic photo hdr isn't bad and topaz isn't too bad once you get it right (although it does lean towards the stronger effect) I tried Niks offering but had so much trouble getting it to work I gave up before I got it figured out. Oleano is another popular one, but I haven't tried it.
Another good link.

Got to agree with Wayne , ive tried numerous HDR programmes and photo matix is far the best and very easy to use too.

thanks, with the discount code it comes down to about £66 so defo value for money. as you say photomatix can give a natural look as well as a full on HDR look..

cheers

Oloneo I think is worth a punt it's still free at the moment and as with all hdr type as long as you don't go overboard it's good

thanks just gave it a go, its a good HDR program and is free with no watermark. If anything id say its more versatile that Photomatix as has pre set's plus a slider that goes up the scale increasing the level of HDR or grunge look. However were it seems to fall short a bit compared to photomatix is with its auto alignment in the multi image to single HDR image creation, will be fine with a tripod i think but not so good without..

heres two examples both the same shot taken free hand

first is with Oloneo, not as sharp especially at the top of the mast's and the board walk.

second is the photomatix version, seems sharper ?

Just keep the email with the licence key. Download the trial version again on the new PC and put the key in again.

Worked for me when I put Photomatix on another machine.

Yep. If you should ever happen to lose your licence key HDR Soft will have it on their customer records anyway.

Nik HDR Efex Pro is pretty awesome.
