Photokina 2016

Leica SL 50mm 1.4 - i know it's coming but samples would be nice.

Been reading on the Hassleblad X1D today, so will be interesting to see what Fuji do with it.
 
The Leica Summilux-SL 50mm f/1.4 ASPH. is scheduled to be available in January 2017 at a suggested retail price of £3,850 including VAT

got a price

This will be followed by the Leica APO-Summicron-SL 75mm f/2 ASPH. in Summer 2017. The Leica APO-Summicron-SL 90mm f/2 ASPH. and the Leica Super-Vario-Elmar-SL 16-35mm f/3.5-4.5 ASPH. are scheduled for Autumn and Winter 2017 respectively, followed by the Leica Summicron-SL 35mm f/2 ASPH. in Spring 2018. Pricing will be announced nearer to each launch date.
 
What news does Nikon have today?

xiaomi the chines phone company that manufacture the YI action cameras has just announced a m4/3 camera today the M1. Things in the camera world might just have started getting more interesting.

Ahh OK, I wasn't really expecting an announcement for the new a D810 replacement but probably thought there may have been :)

I was hoping for a D810 and/or D750 replacement to be announced tbh, bit overdue now.
 
Nikon the action cam ship has sailed and i fear so has the mirrorless too you've blown it in both markets.

The 360 thing is cool but the rest is either your gopro or iphone, I wouldnt carry my phone and the little keymission 70 or whatever its called.

I would have liked to have seen a D820/D850 but I'd rather wait and hopefully get something good than them announce something early that is as bad as the Canon 5D IV.

What's wrong with the 5D4? I think it looks good tbh, sensor is better than I thought it was going to be. (I'm a Nikon user btw ;))

Maybe bad was the wrong word, underwhelming or disappointing would have been better I guess. IMO they just played it safe and marginal improvement on the III but at a crazy price (I'm a Nikon user btw, ohh and Fuji and have some Canon stuff, lol).
 
5d4 is a fine camera.

Yes its not A99 mk2 in terms of specs but it does the job perfectly fine.

I always said that the 5d3 only lacking thing was its Sensor and they have fixed that!

Well where is Nikon? come on show something

D750 is doing the job perfectly fine too ;)

This can't be far off a 50mm FF equiv I assume...

I'm in the market for a 50mm.. just haven't decided which system..

That's a nice looking MF system although out of my price bracket. I like the fact the pentaprism is a removable EVF but is included in the box. The back of the body looks pretty bulky but as an overall package it looks compact.

It looks like the don't need to yet lol seeing the D810 is still better than the mk4 lol
