I've always been on the lookout for a good photography magazine and this one has really hit the spot - so much so that I have now subscribed to it.

I was sick of buying photography magazines that had your bog standard layout of readers letters, tips on how to use ND Grads, 30 pages of shops/adverts and some critical analysis.. I wanted something that really inspired me and talked about photography from a journalistic sense - rather than lecturing me about how to do certain things 'properly'.

I can pretty much get all this information but in greater depth from online forums such as this one.

I'd advise anyone who wants to see some fantastic photography to go and pick this magazine up from your local WH Smiths. Its glossy, of an excellent standard and is actually worth the 5quid I spent on it.

Go gadget go!

You can read more about it at http://www.photoicon.com/

Hmmmm ... ... yet another new 'tog mag ... :suspect:

Good linky though ... :thankyou:

Although I have visited their site and it does look to be of a certain different style - might be worth a look if I can find it on the shelf now ...

Wonder how long this one will last ... ;)

:p

Thanks for the link, I'll take a look at that.

I too am getting sick of the repetitiveness of the major highstreet magazines now. I subscribe to Digital Camera, because it has a good mix and fresh things in it too.

The BJP is pretty good, particularly from an inspirational POV. The library has it though, I don't buy it :D

I occasionally pick up a high street mag for a long train journey, but they're so god damn repetitive and lacklustre. Most of them also focus almost exclusively on PURTY PIKTCHURS kekekkekeke. Nice.
