Photogs Vest - Very Cheap!

Great find! I think I'd order one but my North Face has about as many pockets as I need anyway :lol:
 
Well I bought mine last August so they are taking their time about it. Even if it was old stock, which I doubt, does that matter?
 
What sort of chest size is the large, could someone measure one for me please?
 
I'd like to know too - an obvious question and Calumet can't answer it - or be bothered to measure one!

Zipped up it measures 24" across the chest/stomach, so 48" all the way round. Of course, you need room to move, and to accommodate pocket bulge, so you might need a chest/stomach an inch or two less than that. I've just measured my chest at 47" over a rugby shirt. My stomach measurement isn't much different :eek: I can do the vest up comfortably, but snugly. I was actually surprised to find that it did do up OK. Usually (always) I wear it loose and it seems to gape a bit. I might have been better off with the next size up, but I have no complaints about this one, and since they don't have the larger size it's as well this one does me nicely enough. :)

Mine arrived this afternoon, brand new and packaged from Calumet. Didn't appear to be a return or a second. Fitted me about right I'd say, I'm 5'10" with around a 40" chest... The large I think would have been too big for me... At this price very good value though!
 
Thanks for all the advice/discussion here - I saw someone out with a jacket last week and it just looked so useful, then I found this thread and my worries about breaking the bank (again!) were allayed.

I'll let you know how it worked out with a 40" check as 42" belly in a medium :)
 
I got a medium and fits nicely ( 42 inch chest 5'8" ) if anything there are too many pockets can't make sure I put things like batteries in the same pocket, that is my only negative and would certainly recommend one

I've bought a large (46 inch 6' 2") & I've already lost my 50D in one of the pockets :(

Mine just arrived - very quick delivery :)

My 500D just squeezes in with the 18-55 lens on, but its a little awkward getting it out.

The length is a little long feeling too (but I'm no giant!), but all in all a great coat and I think it'll be a lot better than hauling round the backpack when I'm actually out and about.

One thing though - my daughter - not sure what to make of it but she's only 2 1/2 and rushed into the kitchen as I'm trying it on and just came out with "Daddy, why are you dressed as a pirate - why?", which brought the wife to fits of laughter :)
