Is it possible to be so consumed by everything photographic that one simply can't think of anything else?

definately!

I can't go anywhere without framing things up in my mind, gets annoying. :) Mind you I was the same when I was into skating, constantly looking for kerbs and rails to grind. Pretty much all or nothing with me.

I remember shortly after getting into photography I spotted a big pile of rubbish and thought "what lovely colours", then thought how odd that was and chuckled to myself.

Put black electrical tape frames over your specs or some sunglasses and you don't have to imagine the photoframe composition.

Too much photography thought is overexposure

The opposite is of course underexposure

Deciding what to photograph is filtering

Keeping your mind on what to photograph is being well focused

Having time to take photos is having an aperture in one's time

If photography gets into you - and takes it's time to develop - you can achieve a focus lock mindset

I'm sure there are plenty of other puns/photo related phrasing, but you get the idea - photography grabs you and DOES NOT leave

:)

I have similar thoughts

I think I need a tog buddy. Looking at piles of rubbish on one's own causes muggles to stare :shake:

SNAP! I was just thinking the same thing :coat::lol:

I knew I had a twin brother (or sister???)

And that we are also the children of billionaires who tomorrow will admit it and hand over their money as an apology for making us grow up apart :D

Photographyitis is the downfall of many people.
I admit that I have fallen asleep thinking about L Glass.
I admit that I have oggled at kit in shop windows.
I admit that whenever I have seen a fellow togger I look at their kit to see if the are a fellow Canonian or one from the darkside.
I admit to stopping in the street and mentally frame a shot even though I've not had my camera with me.

The only cure is to stop supporting the evil Japanese with their continous inflicting upon us with their wonderful kit.
Some some say that this addiction is harder to kick than a nicotine addict.

all i can think of is photography, how to get better at it, how to build up my kit, reviews of lens. its taking over my liiiiiife!!

You know it's bad when you have a dream that you're grip on your camera has been stolen and crying about it.... Thankfully I woke before the camera was gone too. Phew!!

im hooked ... mrs cant get a conversation out of me unless it involves cameras of photograpghy in one way or another

I'm hooked now ... I keep looking at things and wondering if they'd make a good photographic subject, I daren't go near a camera shop for fear I know I'll buy something ... I've only been doing this a few weeks, oh dear, no hope now is there.

you sure your not fishermen :lol:
