You are a star I had missed that and as we are out was just going to record Casuality for the gaffer.

Finally a programme about the god of Rail photography O Winston Link

wow that was a story and a half about o winston link, fantastic photography just loved it. I have to say though i wonder if the story about the 1500 prints going missing was fabricated by the powers that be.:suspect:

I just caught the programme about Robert Capa, but what a photographic treat!

Poo bags, I completely missed these.

On iPlayer:
Jacques Henri Lartigue: The Boy who Never Grew Up

James Ravilious: A World in Photographs

But these aren't on due to "Rights issues" :(:

21:00 - 22:20 The Photographer, His Wife and Her Lover
22:30 - 23:45 Storyville: Robert Capa - In Love and War *** I'm really disappointed that I missed this one!
23:45 - The Lost Pictures of Eugene Smith

I'm sure they'll be repeated at some point, but I've checked the available schedule on the BBC4 website and they aren't repeating them in the next couple of weeks.

LOL. He certainly put it about a bit. How many guys can say that Ingrid Bergman had the hots for them, and he kicked her into touch! :D

Capa was one of the first out of the landing craft on Omaha Beach with the US Marines, with guys falling like wheat all around him and just a camera in his hands. One of a kind and certainly the greatest war photographer ever in my book. A lot of the beach scenes in 'Saving Private Ryan' were based on Capa's images from the day. He used to say "If your photos are no good, you're not getting close enough" and that's what cost him his life in the end of course when he stepped on a land mine in Vietnam.
