Hi all,

I'm quite new to photography and i want to start getting some photography mags. Maybe even subscribe to one of them, but what mag stands out from the rest if such a mag does?

I'm looking more for mags that can help teach me best using different modes and when to use them with tips in them from time to time for various shooting modes and scenes.

Would appreciate your comments.

Thanks in advance,

Lee.

I've gone through a few but the one that stands out for me is Photoplus because it's more relevant to Canon cameras. The other I get occasionally is Digital Photo I find this good sometimes

I'd say Practical Photography, aimed at the novice mainly and covers all the basic skills.

I'll second DCMag, it's the only one i look at. Quite a bit of photshop work, but i think this is in many ways just as important in this digital age. Plus it's future publishing so lots of lovely big colourful piccies to inspire me.

Digital Photo + you get a a very good detailed disc, which runs you through various Photoshop tutorials, they have recently included a small mag also with learning process's. good value for money when you add up what you get.

I'd second that, some of them usually include good articles or a good tutorial disk, but rarely both. This mag is more expensive but certainly better than others I have read. It also comes with a decent bag as a subscription offer, which sold it to me.

But better buying a book, such as understanding exposure.
